What is Wisdom?

The Scripture says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and wisdom is to depart from evil. That means we must avoid evil, or anything that lures us to do evil or wickedness. Stay completely away from sin as a child of God. It could be anything: lies, cheating, killing, envy, stealing, adultery, fornication, child abusers, unforgiving spirit, etc. You will never have peace committing these sins.
The Scripture says:

“There is no peace for the wicked: They are like the troubled sea which cast out mire and dirt. There is no peace saith the Lord to the wicked.” Isaiah 57:20&21

When you live in sin, you can’t be able to sleep: and you will always live in fear and restlessness. If you do not know the Lord as Savior and you say: I don’t know how I can stop these sins, I will tell you how God forgave my sins and gave me power over them. The struggle over sin is deep, real and furious.

God’s deep love for the sinner is incomprehensible and deep:

The only reason Jesus came to earth was to deliver humanity from sin. God knew humans can’t win over the struggle of sin. Sin is inherent in humans. We are born in sin. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord; and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.

When you genuinely confess and believe what Jesus did for you on the cross, your sins are immediately forgiven, and you will experience peace and relief from the burden of sin.

The Holy Spirit who is Third person of the Trinity will come into your life to enable you to overcome sin. The struggle for sin stops and the Holy Spirit fights the battle for you as long as you listen to Him.

“As many as receive him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.”

Until we understand who God is and develop a reverential fear of Him, we cannot have true wisdom. True wisdom comes only from understanding who God is and that He is holy, just, and righteous.

Believers are not to be afraid of God. We have no reason to be afraid of Him. We have His promise that nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39).
We have His promise that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Fearing God means having such a reverence for Him that it has a great impact on the way we live our lives.
The fear of God is respecting Him, obeying Him, submitting to His discipline, and worshipping Him in awe
