Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God (1Thessalonians 1:4)
And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the work in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost. (1Thessalonians 1:6)
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. (1Thessalonians 1:10)
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy. (1Thessalonians 2:19)
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. (1Thessalonians 5:23-24)
That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. (1Thessalonians 2:12)
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure.:
Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you.
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in a flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and they obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. (2Thessalonians 1:4-10)
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2Thessalonians 1: 11-12)
